The tribe purchased the land in 2007 from the Wayland Township for $16 million. It is the first tribal casino in Michigan to be built off of reservation land. It also has a 255-seat buffet, a food court, and four restaurants. The casino has 100,000 square feet (9,290 m2) of gaming space, 2,500 slots, 28 table games, and a poker room. It is owned and operated by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, a federally recognized tribe. The Gun Lake is a Native American casino in Wayland, Michigan. Hours: Gun Lake Casino is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
